Network of love

Accompany, care for, and dignify our grandmothers

At the San Juan II Foundation, every smile holds a story, and every gesture of caring builds a more dignified present for women who have experienced abandonment, loneliness, or neglect. This home welcomes grandmothers who, despite their physical limitations, enthusiastically participate in educational, creative, and community activities.

Thanks to the "Red de Amor" project, volunteering promoted by EAN University and the Complex Thought Structure class, these women not only receive care but also regain their autonomy, their voice, and their right to live with affection.

Young people from different universities share time, laughter, and emotional support, creating an intergenerational community where everyone learns and heals.

Cases like that of Adela, who lived in a tenement for years without company, demonstrate how a warm and caring environment can completely change a life.

This project is aligned with:

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, which promotes ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all people, at all ages.

SDG 10: Reducing inequalities by providing care, attention, and companionship to older women from vulnerable backgrounds.

This project is supported by donations that cover basic needs, educational materials, and specialized care.

Grandmothers don't need charity, they need community.

Network of love is not just a name: it's a concrete way of caring for, dignifying, and embracing lives with empathy.

Aging with dignity is a right, not a privilege.
